World traveler and world-class plastic surgeon Dr. Brown received his M.D. at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C.  He interned at the University of California Irvine and then continued his post-M.D. studies in otolaryngology (ENT surgery) at Cornell University and his plastic surgery studies at Columbia University in New York City.  Upon completion of these studies, he became board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  He then moved to Liberia in West Africa where he was a visiting professor of plastic surgery at the University of Liberia. Following that experience, he moved to San Francisco where he established a successful cosmetic plastic surgery practice at California Pacific Medical Center (the largest private hospital in northern California) for over 30 years.

In 2014 he and his wife left San Francisco and proceeded to sail around the world.   During this time he continued to work as a plastic surgeon doing pro-bono work in many of the south pacific islands such as Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands, and Vanuatu.  He spent several years in Auckland New Zealand working in Middlemore Hospital, the largest plastic surgery teaching center in the country.

Upon completing his around the world sailing adventure he returned to the U.S.  where he joined the PHASE Plastic Surgery group.  His interest in facial surgery reflects his extensive training in both ENT and plastic surgery.
